Wait! What? The ending just made my jaw drop! If you love epic fantasy this has to be part of your library. After reading his first book in the A Vengeful Realm trilogy, I put Tim Facciola right up there with Brandon Sanderson and John Gwynn. It's that good.

I listened to the audiobook, and it was simply the best performance ever. The story is rife with political intrigue, powerful character dynamics, warring gods, and gritty, close combat. Facciola is a master storyteller.

Wow! I’m typically not a reader of epic fantasy - but I read this book twice in a week. I really enjoyed following this story and getting to know the characters from their various points of view. I can’t wait to read the next books in this series!
